BioMicroCenter:PartialFlowcells

From BioMicro Center

Template:BioMicroCenter

In order to maintain the utility of our GAIIs, the BioMicro Center has developed methods to run the GA in a lane-wise manner. These methods are not supported by Illumina and we are learning by trial and error. The partial flowcell effort was lead by Michael Gravina in the BioMicro Center.

Testing[edit]

Testing lanewise flow Food coloring was loaded in the GAII using one of the standard 50ml conicals and flowed through a used flowcell either 1 lane at a time or 4 lanes at a time.

Testing reclustering of the flowcell A single flowcell was subjected to 5 cycles of clustering and sequencing over ~2 weeks and evaluated for various quality parameters. PhiX was used as the test sample. Sequencing reagents were replaced for the 4th sequencing cycle.

Scripts[edit]

We will soon be publishing the scripts we use on the GAII to run partial flowcells. Keep an eye on this space.
