=== Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): ===
The core manager will coordinate day-to-day operations for the shared resource in collaboration with Center Director. This includes coordinating projects and technical staff to ensure timely data production as well as ensuring robust data quality metrics. Success in management of the facility will require:
* Maintaining up-to-date expertise in relevant instrumentation/research methods.
* contributing original ideas to the research direction and/or methodologies used by scientists using the facility.
* Devise and implement options for improving quality, identify potential problems and devises and implement solutions, which may include potential upgrades to equipment. 
* Responsible for the integrity, development and tracking of facility protocols, policies and procedures and performs 
* Contribute to the preparation of periodic progress reports or research narratives for grant proposals. 
* play a key role in determining the shared /core facility long-term strategy and financial planning/operations as an advisor to the BioMicro Center Director. 
* other duties assigned by the BioMicro Center Director.
