This includes coordinating projects and technical staff to ensure timely data production as well as ensuring robust data quality metrics. Success in management of the facility will require: * Maintaining up-to-date expertise in relevant instrumentation/research methods. * contributing original ideas to the research direction and/or methodologies used by scientists using the facility. * Devise and implement options for improving quality, identify potential problems and devises and implement solutions, which may include potential upgrades to equipment. * Responsible for the integrity, development and tracking of facility protocols, policies and procedures and performs * Contribute to the preparation of periodic progress reports or research narratives for grant proposals. * play a key role in determining the shared /core facility long-term strategy and financial planning/operations as an advisor to the BioMicro Center Director. * other duties assigned by the BioMicro Center Director.
